What’s consignment?

Consignment is when a shop sells goods for an owner. As the owner, you’d pay a small fee to the shop as compensation for them selling your item. Boomerang Kids for example takes 50% to 60% of sales on children’s clothing sold in their shop. Wild North rates are generally much more reasonable as you can see below.

Consignment Rates

Consignment return rates at Wild North are calculated and vary depending on the value of goods you’re consigning.

$5 = 42% return to customer.

$100 = 60% return

$500 = 72% return

$1500 = 80% return

$3000 = 85% return

The calculation for percentage at wild north for those interested is :

% = 0.075*ln($value) + 0.25

All consignors must be 18yrs of age and have a valid form of picture ID with home address on it. Consigners may accept their money via E-mail transfer or may come in person to collect their cash or cheque after item sells.

Call us at 613-422-WILD, or come in person to check the status of an item. We are unable to mail out cheques.
